Laura Santo is a professional English-Spanish Translator specializing in the marketing, technical, legal, business and financial fields. She began her career in her native country and later moved to the United States to join a well-established and reputable translation agency based in Los Angeles, California where she worked as a Spanish Translator/Editor and Multilingual Project Coordinator for over 4 years. This experience equipped Laura with valuable professional skills geared toward the American market, and perhaps even more importantly, made her keenly aware of the overwhelming need for better quality Spanish-language materials for the US Hispanic market.

After working with her team of professional translators for many years Laura decided to give her team a name: The Translation House. Laura’s personalized customer service, attention to detail and leadership has helped her agency make a name for itself and expand its original client portfolio to include highly-reputable US public relations and marketing companies, international law firms and financial institutions as well as government and non-profit organizations. Her dedication to the US Latino market and understanding of its particular language needs has also earned her the position as Senior Spanish Copy Editor for several major publishing and marketing companies in the US.

Laura earned her degree as Sworn Translator from the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she had the opportunity to work closely with internationally-renown Spanish translators. Since then, Laura has continued to further her education by completing numerous post-graduate training courses for professional translators, including language proofreading among many others, constantly honing her craft in the Spanish language. Laura is an active member of the American Translators Association and the CTPCBA.
